Shipping policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Dear You (MAAVI LIFE PRIVATE LIMITED, Bengaluru) ships gifts to addresses in India. Questions: hello@dearyou.art or +91 97111 50489.

Where we deliver

We deliver to addresses in India only. We ship through Shiprocket, which hands each parcel to a courier company. If no courier can deliver to your PIN code, we tell you and refund the full amount.

Payment

All orders are prepaid. We do not offer cash on delivery. Nothing is collected at the door.

Shipping charges

Products in your order Shipping charge
Below Rs 1,499 Rs 99 per order
Rs 1,499 or more Free

The shipping charge includes GST and is shown at checkout before you pay. There are no other delivery charges.

When we dispatch

  • Ready-made items: within 2 working days of payment.
  • Personalised and custom-branded items: the product page shows how long we need to make them. If your order has both kinds of item, the longer time applies to the whole order.

Working days means Monday to Saturday, except public holidays.

Delivery times after dispatch

Delivery address Delivery time after dispatch
Metro cities (such as Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and Mumbai) 4 working days
Rest of India 7 working days
North East states, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep up to 10 working days

The dispatch time plus the delivery time is our stated delivery time for your order. If an order arrives later than this, you can return it for a full refund, unless the delay was caused by force majeure (such as floods, riots, strikes or government restrictions) or by a wrong address or phone number you gave. See Cancellations, Returns and Refunds.

Preferred delivery date

You can enter a preferred delivery date on the cart page. We plan dispatch so the parcel should arrive by that date. We cannot promise delivery on an exact day, and it may arrive a little early. If we see that we cannot meet your date, we tell you before dispatch and you can cancel for a full refund.

Tracking

After dispatch we email you a tracking link. The courier needs the recipient's phone number and may call or send them SMS about the delivery. This means the recipient may find out that a parcel is on its way.

Sending a gift

  • Each order goes to one address. To send gifts to several people, place a separate order for each address, or use Corporate Gifting for larger lists.
  • If you add a gift message, we print it on a card inside the parcel.
  • If you tick "This is a gift. Leave prices out of the parcel." on the cart page, we leave prices off everything inside the gift box, including the packing slip and message card. We email the tax invoice to you. GST rules may need a copy of the invoice to travel with the parcel, so we put a copy in a sealed pouch on the outside of the carton, not inside the gift box. The pouch stays on the carton when it is delivered.

If delivery fails

If the courier cannot deliver (for example, the address is wrong or incomplete, the phone number does not work, or the parcel is refused), the parcel comes back to us. We then contact you:

  • If the failure was caused by us or the courier, we send it again free, or refund you in full. You choose.
  • If the address or phone number you gave was wrong, or the parcel was refused without a reason covered by our returns policy, we can send it again after you pay the shipping charge again. For items that are not personalised, you can instead ask for a refund of the order value minus the shipping costs we paid for both trips. We tell you the amount before we refund. Personalised items can only be sent again.

Parcels damaged in transit

Please check the outer box when it arrives. Tell us about any damage within 48 hours of delivery, with photos or an unboxing video. See Cancellations, Returns and Refunds.

Diwali 2026

To reach most addresses before Diwali (Sunday 8 November 2026), order by Tuesday 27 October 2026. For personalised items, also allow the making time shown on the product page. Orders placed after this date may arrive after Diwali.

This date comes from courier delivery times. We do not use countdown timers or made-up stock warnings.

Delays outside our control

Events outside our control, such as floods, strikes, riots or government restrictions, can delay parcels. If this happens we keep you informed. If your order has not been dispatched yet, you can cancel for a full refund. Ordinary courier delays do not affect your right to return a late order for a full refund.

Corporate and bulk orders

For corporate orders, delivery to one or many addresses is agreed in the signed quote. The company gives us the recipient list, and we ship each parcel through Shiprocket.
